Keith Lowe

I specialise in portrait and figurative work using water-based media, pastel and oils and I am a member of the ‘Saturday People’ – a self-funded group of artists who meet regularly throughout the year. I was born and educated in Leeds but for many years now I have lived in the historic market town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.

My work is all about people whether represented by the formal portrait, or life drawing or simply through recording encounters in my daily life. A more eminent artist than me once said that his art was his diary and that is very much how I feel too.
